JAY WARDEN, MBA/MSHA

Jay combines his practical experience as a health system and physician practice executive with 15 years of strategy consulting and entrepreneurial, start-up leadership to effectively advise health care organizations as they navigate the array of competing priorities they currently face around population health management, community health improvement, physician alignment strategy, and capital/resource/facility planning.

Before joining Percival, Jay served in leadership roles at a number of leading health care consulting firms including GE Camden Group, Kaufman Hall Associates, Sg2 and Tiber Group/Navigant Consulting. He has been a senior executive and advisor to several healthcare technology start-ups and community health organizations and is committed to mentorship and development of early-career health care executives.

Jay has Masters degrees in Business Administration and Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.

SAM SEARS, MBA

Sam has over 20 years of experience in leading strategic, financial, and facility planning engagements with specific expertise and interest in ambulatory network planning and both regional and site-specific ambulatory deployment strategies.

His primary responsibilities include leading the development of strategic and financial business plans and feasibility studies, ambulatory network plans, and master facility plans that evaluate service distribution across the entire continuum. He has conducted regional and local webinars and authored a whitepaper and other articles related to ambulatory topics (including freestanding EDs) while providing value-added work relationships with some of the most prominent healthcare organizations in the country. Recently his project work has increasingly focused on ambulatory and continuum of care strategies, ambulatory service, and asset optimization, and portfolio analyses driven by considerations of population health management, increased alignment and affiliations, patient experience and consumerism, and disruptive technologies and service models.

Prior to Percival Health Advisors, he spent five years at Brigham & Women’s Hospital as director of Clinical Research in Cardiac Surgery and 15 years as a consultant, first at Noblis and more recently as Vice President at Hammes Company.

Sam has a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin.

LINDSLEY WITHEY, MHA, FACHE

Lindsley helps lead business development efforts and strategic advisory engagements with hospitals, health systems, and industry partners. With over 15 years of consulting, project management and health administration experience, she has extensive knowledge in working with health systems to grow market share by evaluating their campuses and networks for growth opportunities including feasibility studies, master planning, and ambulatory network planning efforts. She has served as faculty with American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), speaking on developing ambulatory networks and associated physician alignment strategies.

Prior to Percival Health Advisors, Lindsley has worked across the healthcare spectrum with both payers and providers as Director of Advisory Services at Hammes Company, Vice President of Strategy and Physician Relations at Swedish Medical Center (HCA) and as a Senior Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. She is a Fellow of ACHE, recipient of the ACHE Regent Award for Young Healthcare Executives and serves on the boards of the Colorado Association of Health Care Executives (CAHE) and the Greater Denver Chapter of National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE).

Lindsley has a Master of Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from Saint Louis University.

CHUCK BOLLINGER, CPA/ABV

Chuck provides strategic and financial planning services to healthcare clients across the country. Chuck’s expertise is in healthcare finance, with a focus in the areas of business valuations, reimbursement modeling, financial forecasting and scenario analysis, and capital planning. He also has experience in payer strategy, physician alignment and resource planning, strategic assessments, and physician compensation design.

Chuck has also worked extensively on developing new products and service offerings for his clients including a comprehensive projection and analysis tool related to provider staffing requirements, which incorporated a variety of scenario drivers such as strategic initiatives, changes in clinical practice patterns, and the impacts of healthcare reform. He has also published multiple articles related to healthcare finance and changes in reimbursement trends in national publications such as the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and Becker’s Hospital Review.

Before joining Percival, Chuck held positions at leading health care companies including GE Camden Group, Accretive Health, and Strata Decision Technology.

Chuck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is also a licensed certified public accountant and is accredited in business valuations by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

TED CARSON

Ted Carson is a Founder and Principal of Percival Health Advisors where he helps lead real estate advisory engagements with health systems and industry partners. With over 19 years of real estate development, leasing and investment experience, Ted has advised health systems, commercial office users, and retailers on their real estate needs both in Chicago and nationally. Some of his previous engagements include projects for University of Chicago Medical Center, Presence Health, Yale-New Haven Health System, IBM, McDonald’s and Bank of America.

Prior to joining Percival, Ted served as a Vice President at the global real estate services firm, Jones Lang LaSalle and at Hammes Company, a leading developer of healthcare real estate. Throughout his career, Ted has been involved in the leasing or ground-up development of over 2 million square feet of healthcare, office, and retail real estate. As a consultant, Ted has worked with real estate owners to analyze the condition of their portfolios and develop asset management and marketing plans to maximize the value of their assets and attract new tenants.

Ted has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Princeton University.
